It's absolutely beautiful. You made me want to cry. I wouldn't
change a thing. :)
Oh, God!
That was so sad!!! See that? You have the tears flowing again...
Just when I thought I was all cried out, you had to write that...
lol You did a wonderful job with it, and I think that probably
was what it was like in the aftermath. <sniff> Great job!
I just read your fic again today, and it made me cry again! I
think that if a fic can still cause such strong emotions the second
time around, it's safe to say that it's a completely excellent
piece! Do you think I could archive this on my site? Talk to you
soon!
This was magnificent! I loved every word! Please let me know I
want to store this piece in my archive. It was spectacular! GREAT
work, I was crying-again :o)
My site is connected at the end of the email, I am so glad you
let place this up-I absolutely loved it. Can't wait to read more
of your stuff.
If the finale wasn't enough to bring me to tears, your writing
certainly was.
Thanks for such a lovely piece.
BRAVO! Crying again, damn it! <G>
that was lovely - I am in floods of tears
Let me tell you something. I have read a lot of fan fic. A
lot of romantic ones. A lot of Sad ones. A lot of funny ones.
But this has got to be one of the very best i have ever read.
I actually cried while reading this, and it takes a lot to get
that reaction out of me. Very few fanfics I have read have actually
made me cry, and this is one of them. Terrific job (as usual)
on your amazing story!
Really interesting twist! You wrote very good Buffy reactions
to what Giles
said, and later, Spike. Good writing.
Wow, you came up with a new interpretation for Spike's changes.
It's a very interesting thought.
Woohoo! That was really, *really* great!
Loved it!
Wow! That was great! I've heard a few theories that run with
what you wrote, but you did a great job at making it feasable!
That was beautiful! It was such a fabulous idea to begin with
and I adored reading every bit of it.
No plot???? It seemed loaded with it, to me! I really liked this.
It was unlike anything else I've read (which is a bunch) and I
hope
you keep churning them out! :)
I LOVE it! That is great!
what a twist at the ending.. wonderful, gal. you did it again!
Loved it :) We're posting it on our site.
Thank you
This was sweet! Loved Willow in disguise--the epitome of nasty
receptionists. <G>
Now, you know that has to go with the rest of the "Crush"
fiction...
that was cool, Patti.. so can I put it on the site?
What a delicious thought... Spike singing and swivelling his hips
like
Elvis. I didn't think it could get any better and then he sang
"Love Me
Tender" to Buffy. Whoa, enough to make a girl swoon. Your
way would have
been so much better and made a lot more sense than what David
Fury forced
upon us. Thanks.
OMG That was the sweest story thank you so much.
What a lovely story. I cried. (And that's a rare thing for me
6to do over
a fic.) Thanks for writing it.
You know, it's very hard to function in an office when you're
sitting at
your desk crying! Your story broke my heart!! It was wonderful!
Thank you
for writing it.
Whoa....
truly intense!
I absolutely adore the idea of there being a Slayer's circle somewhere
up there. Beautiful story and a very cute ending.
Good work!
Keep 'em coming!
;)
:-)
It's a really interesting idea. I mean, where do all the slayers
go? It might as well be somewhere where their power is combined...
blah blah... anyway, good work!
Oh, I meant to add that I *loved* Willow and Tara performing the
rite of passage! Very authentic touch.
Oh Raven, you are so gonna pay for that one. You made me cry ;(.
Poor
Spike.
And yeah, I Iiked the Slayer's Circle. Cool idea. It's always
good to
see Kendra again :).
That was so sad. It's always harder for me to read about Buffy
dying than
any other character. You got the feelings of loss down so well,
it even
made me feel like crying.
Thanks for another beautiful story.
you made me cry!!!!! but it was a good cry. it was just sad though,
but very beautiful <sniff sniff> cool ending, with the mini-marshmellows
: )
this was so wonderfully written, there's really not enough Spike
and Giles bonding out there in fic land. Are you sure that this
is only a 1/1 .....I see huge potential for a sequel....maybe
Buffy coming back from death to an unchipped Spike....and everything
she would then have to face..and with Giles on Spikes side.....well,
it could make for an interesting view.... Basically......I-Want-More
!!
No. no. no. no. no! You cannot end it this way. You must write the journey to England. You must write the events with the Watchers Council as they unfold. You must report what happened after the removal of the accursed chip! I had tears in my eyes. Great story, but surely only the beginning....
This was a very interesting story--a look into the Giles/Spike relationship, and a view of Spike's fear of whether he is "human" only due to the chip or his love for Buffy. Very enjoyable!
That was a good story. It was so touching when Spike gave his
speech about knowing Buffy. There was so much emotion in that
paragraph. I was happy to see that Giles could accept the changes
in Spike and see the good in him.
Very cool! I liked the semi-serious tone near the end. Lovely!!
OMG, that was totally awesome! Great idea to do that! Once again,
great job!
Ahhh! It was great! Very simple and sweet ... and it rolls off
the tongue
- I *like*. :)
That was wonderful. It's been so long since I've read Dr. Suess,
but I started reading it with the same rhythm. Such a cool idea.
WoW! That is some talent you have! I completely enjoyed it!!!
That was SO cool! I loved it - and I loved Dr Seuss as a kid!
So there you go - you worked two of my loves in well!
Good stuff!
I LOVE it!
Can I post it, oh please may I?
If you do not let me
I may then cry
Please help to keep my teardrops dry
and I'll post it just for you, won't I?
I just read your "Dr. Seuss in Sunnydale" fic at Heat. Desire. and I gotta tell you, it's just so cute! I can't even pick out a favorite part, it was all so good! And when Buffy was looking in the mirror and arguing that she didn't like Spike, it was perfect! Awesome job on the rhyming, too! :D I liked this a lot, and it's so original! Way to go!
I wish Willow and Joyce had acted like that on the show. You wrote
them more like the characters we've grown to know over the years
than the actual BtVS writers did.
Xander was a better character in this story than he has been on
the show for a long time. I'm glad he was the one to lead Spike
to the answers he needed.
It is so sad that Dawn died, but I love how you concluded the
story. I just wish that the writers would screw their heads back
on and write BtVS the way it used to be. Thanks so much for the
wonderful story!
Awww, such a sad yet sweet ending. I really enjoyed this story,
and you did a great job with it.
First off, thank your husband for me for challenging you to write
this!
The idea is wonderful and you write it so well. It is endearing
to see Buffy so protective of Spike, and to see how Spike has
been helping her even though she doesn't love him. I look forward
to reading how he responds the theories of the priest.
Part II
It was refreshing to read about Spike getting joyful from a slight
admittance of feeling toward him by Buffy. This story is truly
fascinating.
Your statement about Buffy's power coming from God is interesting.
The show puts everything in the supernatural category even though
the basic weapons used against the vampires are Christian ones.
I am finding this idea captivating and I am anxious to read the
next part. I don't know much about exorcisms, I never wanted to
watch the Linda Blair move (too gross), but I can imagine being
Buffy and having the demon in Spike say awful things to her. This
is really great to read!
Part III
Yes, that was beautiful! It's amazing how you could bring religion
into a Buffy story and make it work. Thank you so much.
Part I
AAgggghhhhh! Here I thought there were 3 parts to this and one
was a duplicate.
Yes, I love the limb you are one. It's one of my favorite ones
right now... Please post more!
Part II
It's very good, and holds the attention... I like stuff like that.
Part III
wonderful.. very wonderful
Just read this story and wanted to let you know that I am really
enjoying it. It is a great and well-written story, you have captured
my imagination and pulled me into their (Spike & Buffy) world
and I am really enjoying my time there. Because I have to admit
that I am a Spike & Buffy Shipper Fan....and I am loving this
storyline.
Please hurry with the next installments, I cannot wait to read
them, I am waiting with bated breath to see where the story will
take me next.
Thank you for writing such an excellent story.
ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Where is the final part?!?!?!?! I CAN'T
wait to read it! This is an excellent fic!
YOU HAD ME SOOO SCARED!!!
I thought you'd offed him. I really thought you had! I was THAT
close to tears, it wasn't even funny!
But you came through and I have to say that it was a superlative
piece of work. Congratulations! That was brilliant!
Hope to see more work!
I just wanted to let you know that you did a really awesome job
on this whole fic. The way that you worked religion into the Buffy
universe was amazing. Wonderful job, and I really, really hope
that you write more soon! Excellently done!
I think you did an awesome job with this story. i really liked the religious twist you put into it. It's so strange that in a show concerning vampires and demons, they rarely look on the heavenly side of things, even though they use things like cruxifixes and holy water. how strange. LOL
What? Me? Squirm with Catholic guilt? Well, maybe. Well, another engaging story. If your intention is to move your readers, you do it well.
It was a whole fresh, new take on the mythology of the Buffy-verse and it was marvellous. It was refreshing to read a fic that actually dares to mention God. Besides that, your story was very well-written. It started out a little slow, but picked up the pace very soon... and after that, it was a pure pleasure to read.
.
I loved the part where he felt regret and shed a tear. Even though
he
thought when he walked away that he'd left it behind, he never
really
had. He always carried way more humanity than the rest of them,
even when
he was a brutally vicious killer.
That was just AWESOME! So good - I loved it!
Well done!
I absolutely loved this fic!!! Your choice of words was wonderful
and the whole fic seemed completely in character with Spike. Great
job, and I can't wait to read more of your fics!
Yo Cat and I would like to post this!!!! Purtty please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just read your story "In the Beginning" and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. It was very dark and creepy and realistic and I loved it!! :)
I really like this one! That was one of the best scenes this season! Great fic!
I loved it, just like almost everything you've written. Funny thing.. I 'heard' his accent even in these words.. so he didn't lose it.<G>
I haven't seen the ep in the UK yet. However, I could picture the atmosphere when I read this piece.
This was an interesting look into Spike's history. You brought up so many of the important parts of his existence. The news/documentary style was cool and I loved the description of the images shown. Great work!
That was so adorable. The ending was just perfect <sigh>. You did a really good job capturing each of the women's characters. I could believe they were actually saying those words and I enjoyed reading this immensely. Thanks for writing it.
Hey, I like sappy stories! But, this wasn't entirely sappy,
was it? It had a lot of deep stuff in it.
The desperation you described in Buffy was perfect. I think a
lot of people, those on the show and those who watch the show,
don't understand exactly how trapped her life is. I'm glad you
do.
It's nice to read something about what Buffy has lost since becoming
the slayer and I'm not talking about losing people to death. I'm
talking about the other things she has lost because she is the
slayer, the opportunities she has lost. You mentioned some in
this story, that she would never have children or a husband or
a normal life. That would suck for those choices to be taken from
you. Thanks for giving Buffy a voice.
Wonderful story! I love when I cry and then laugh and then sigh contentedly all through one story!!!
way cool, gal
I like it!
OMG, this was such a sweet fic! I absolutely loved it! I'm obviously also a hopeless romantic, and this one just did it for me. It was amazing, and I look forward to reading your future fics. Keep up the excellent work!
I really liked it... Please keep writing.
Your story was amazing... One of the best Buffy/Spike pieces
I've read, and I've read a lot of them :)
Great work...
This was beautiful. It was an interesting way to have Spike face his demons, his past. To have him feel the pain that he had caused. You made it very convincing,
What an intriguing idea to have Buffy's good deeds wipe out Spike's bad deeds and turn him human again. Fascinating.
How sweet! Spike got to see his first sunrise in over 120 years. A truly beautiful story.
I absolutely loved Not Far From the Tree!! That story made
me feel so happy. I've read ALOT of Buffy fiction, but yours is
the best by far. Too bad the writers of BTVS didn't do as good
of a job writing Buffy stories as some that I've read. Before
reading Not Far From the Tree I was so depressed, but while reading
that story I was so lost in B/S's world & I forgot everything
else.I felt like I was there.
Neat look at Buffy and how her friends see her. Thanks for sharing
it!
I am really enjoying your writing and I love the end of this
fic. I just wish the writers of BtVS could do as good a job as
you with the characters we have all grown to know over the years...
Sorry it took me so long to get you the feedback. Just wanted
to let you know I enjoyed this story immensely. Seems like there's
been a dearth of decent Buffy comedy lately, and this was a good
one. Thanks for sharing it.
Awww
This fic was awesome! It was so sweet! Now I'm in a lovey sappy
mood. lol Great fic, as always!
Loved it! I love happy endings and it's hard to write them for Buffy, isn't it? I really enjoyed reading it, and thank you for liking mine, too! :)
What a beautiful story. Cinderella has always been my favorite fairy tale and it was nice how you tied everything into Buffy. I like how you showed Willow and Tara helping Spike to act more human. It was also nice how Angel backed out of the picture and gave them his blessing. This was a feel-good story and just what we needed. Thanks.
I thought it was GREAT.. I loved the roses from Angel and the card, as well as the 'human' lessons for Spike and the insightfulness that made Buffy realize her people skills were lacking too.. I enjoyed it.. broght a tear to my eye.
This story is just "aww". That's one of the sweetest B/S stories I've read - and fluff always does the mind good. Thanks for putting it out there!
Beautifully Written! Definetely one of the best Fics I've read, and possibly the best ShortFic! The idea of giving Spike lessons on being a human was pretty funny, but it worked really well! Terrific FanFic! Keep up the great work!
I absolutely LOVED it!!! OMG if only, and it was well written
as well. Keep
up the great work.
Way cool!
That was amazing! What a great idea to have Oz teach Spike
how to control his demon. What made you think of it?
You have a great imagination and I so love reading your work.
EEEEEEEEEHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*ahem*
Thank you.
(AWESOME!)
I loved it!
A wonderfuly sweet love story. A nice, neat, believeable conclusion
to the Glory?Ben storyline and most importantly I recognised these
people!!! Your characterisation was terrific. From Spike's desparate
need to make Buffy see he really does love her, to Buffy's struggle
with everything she believes to be true about souless vampires
and her duty as the Slayer and the pain of having to kill someone
she only see's as good.. From Giles' horror at the thought of
Buffy and Spile growing into the realisation that the vampire
makes her happy to Willow's acceptance and understanding. These
are the same characters I tune in to see every week. All that
and a deliciously happy ending.
As I said I loved it.
Well done
Part I
Patti,
I can imagine Spike doing just what he did in this fic when he
hears that Joyce has died. The guy has so much potential and I
really hope that it's not squandered by turning him back into
basically a one-note villain. That's one reason I enjoy your fics
so much, you make him the way he
should be on the show. Thanks.
Part II
I'm glad you continued this. I thought the first part was the
only part and was pleasantly surprised to discover this one in
my Inbox! This story is getting very interesting. Spike is such
a sweetheart. Poor guy getting attacked every time he goes back
to his crypt.
When you wrote that Giles backhanded Buffy, I wanted to punch
his lights out. Sometimes I think the Scoobies don't consider
all she has to go through because she's the slayer. They all chose
to fight the good fight, be she wasn't given a choice. HAVING
to do something against your will and choosing of your own free
will to do the exact same thing are two VERY different experiences.
The Scoobies need to cut her some slack and let her find enjoyment
somewhere even if they don't agree with it. I am looking forward
to the next installment.
Part III
That was a great story and I loved the ending. Spike human! Yay!!!!!
